Robin Hannibal (born in 1981) is a Danish record producer, songwriter, remixer and musician. He is a member of the groups Rhye and Quadron.〔
==Biography==
In the mid-2000s, Hannibal collaborated with Danish singer Phillip Owusu, and also Boom Clap Bachelors, a collective of Danish musicians, later sampled by Kendrick Lamar for the song "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe". In July 2009 Hannibal teamed with Danish singer Coco O and released ''Quadron'', the debut album for his new project Quadron. It was well received critically with ''Paste'' magazine naming it the "Best of What's Next" in 2010〔http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2010/08/best-of-whats-next-quadron.html〕 and ''New York'' magazine listing the album at number 7 on their top 10 best albums of the year.〔http://nymag.com/arts/cultureawards/2010/69902/〕 The music also caught the attention and was praised by artists such as Adele〔http://www.adele.tv/blog/302/on-the-mend〕 and Prince.〔http://www.theguardian.com/music/2014/mar/13/quadron-avalanche-neo-soul-duo-party-with-prince-pharrell〕
In 2011, Hannibal released a solo EP ''Bobby'', on which he wrote, produced, arranged, and played every instrument.
After being introduced to Milosh through their mutual record label, Hannibal invited him to fly to Denmark to spend a week in the studio. This time together led to the creation of three songs and the group known as Rhye. After anonymously releasing two tracks online, they landed a record deal with Universal Music Group. The album ''Woman'', released in March 2013, was placed on the 2013 "Best of Lists" for ''Rolling Stone'',〔http://www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/20-best-debuts-of-2013-20131210/rhye-woman-19691231〕 Complex,〔http://www.complex.com/music/2013/12/the-50-best-albums-of-2013/rhye-woman〕 and ''Pitchfork''.〔http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/17693-rhye-woman/〕 It was also listed at number 8 on ''Billboard''s 15 "Best Albums of 2013."〔http://www.billboard.com/articles/list/5840321/15-best-albums-of-2013-critics-picks〕
In 2013 Quadron released their second album, ''Avalanche''. The album was a top 5 release in Denmark and spawned the certified gold single "Hey Love" in that same country. Hannibal was awarded Best Producer and the song "Hey Love" earned Best Hit by the Danish Critics Choice Awards. The Danish Music Awards gave Quadron the Best Urban Act award, the Best New Act award, and they gave Hannibal the Best Producer award.
Hannibal has recently produced and co-wrote the latest tracks from Laura Welsh (“Cold Front”) and Yuna (“Falling” and “Lights & Camera”).
Hannibal has suffered from tinnitus since he was 18–19 years old, and therefore doesn't perform live on stage.
